Attorney Brent Wolzen
A Nebraska attorney whose international practice grew out of years actually living and working overseas — building relationships between communities long before he built cases for clients.
Education & Early Career
Brent earned his bachelor's degree from Hastings College, followed by a master's degree in experimental psychology from the University of Kentucky.
He then spent seven years living in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. During that time he worked as an international exchange liaison, taught at a private college, and consulted for a pharmaceutical research company.
While there, he personally founded the sister-city relationship between Ozu, Japan and the Nebraska communities of Arapahoe and Hastings — a relationship recognized since 1995 and still active today.
Honored with a community service award from the city of Ozu, Japan.
And, closer to home, named an honorary “Admiral of the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska.”
Law School & Practice
Brent returned to Nebraska for law school at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he competed in moot court and client-counseling competitions, participated in the American Inns of Court, served on the national trial team, and earned a certificate in litigation skills.
That combination — courtroom training paired with real experience navigating life across borders — shapes how he handles immigration and international matters today.
